Smithsonian Holiday Festival 2016

The Smithsonian is hosting a two day Holiday Festival this weekend on the National Mall. Enjoy truck shows, family friendly activities, free holiday movie screenings and more. There will be something for everyone! Click the link for a complete list of events.

Shop locally made goods at the outdoor holiday market and tour the decorated historic home of the Heurich Family.

Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show

This convention for is perfect for everyone from aspiring home cooks to the expert entertainer. Cooking demos, book signings and tastings from area DC restaurants are on the agenda for the ultimate food lover’s weekend!

Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival

Time: Sunday, 12-5pm
Cost: $5.00 for adults, children are FREE

This new festival is bound to become an Annapolis tradition! Indulge in sweet treats, enjoy a gingerbread house moon bounce, roast marshmallows in the fire pit and more. The night ends with the canopy lighting!


Scottish Christmas Walk Parade
Old Town Alexandria
Time: Saturday, 11am
Cost: FREE

The festive sounds of bagpipes and drums will fill the streets of Old Town for this 46th annual parade celebrating the region’s Scottish heritage. Other activities include holiday home tours, arts and crafts with Santa, a toy drive, and a Taste of Scotland event (tickets required).
