Memorial Day Weekend is here!

Washington, DC Events:

The Battle for DC: Team Building Scavenger Hunt

Time: Saturday, 12-4pm
Cost: $59
Throughout the day you will visit DC landmarks, restaurants, schools, theaters and more to find over 100 items! What you see depends upon your team’s logic, speed and strategy. Join in for a day of fun, exercise, creativity and prizes!

Maryland Events:

Annapolis Memorial Day Parade
The parade follows the traditional route on West Street, goes around Church Circle, down Main Street, and ends at City Dock

Time: Monday, 10am
Cost: Free
The annual ceremony will be held immediately following the parade. The wreath laying ceremony will be held at Susan Campbell Park.

Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar

Time: Sundays thru December 20th from 7am to sell out (typically noon)
Cost: Free – prices vary on items available for purchase
Baltimore’s farmers’ market and bazaar is open for the season! There will be a huge variety of items available for purchase including fruits and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, and dozens of food vendors! Vegan food items will be available.

Virginia Events:

Lake Jackson Flea Market 
Lake Jackson Lions Park
13620 Dumfries Rd., Manassas
Time: Saturday, 6am-1pm
Cost: FREE
Come out and support the Lake Jackson/Mid-County Lions Club at their Flea Market!  Whether you are looking to buy a hidden treasure or sell some of your own, the flea market is a great place to check out vendors, crafts people and local farmers.

Beach Events:

OC Beach Lights Spectacular
North Division Street, Ocean City
Time: Saturday, 9:30PM-10:30PM
Cost: Free
Lasers, lights, fireworks, video, music, and special effects displayed on a 5 story tall giant beach ball will light up the night. They will be putting on a special Patriotic Show this weekend in celebration of Memorial Day. You will be able to see the show along the south end of the beach and boardwalk, but the best place to view the show will be on the Boardwalk at North Division Street.

11th Annual Horseshoe Crab & Shorebird Festival

Time: Saturday, 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Cost: No entry fee required
There will be a variety of vendors and activities at the fair including boat rides, arts and crafts, canoe trips, exhibits, scavenger hunt, trail walks, train rides, games, music, and food. Join in all the fun this weekend to celebrate horseshoe crabs and migrating shorebird which are one of Delaware Bay’s natural wonders. There will also be a shuttle bus provided to help visitors with transportations from the Refuge.
